Talk:Bulletin Board System

Discussion board and message board redirect here; I think this is incorrect[1] BBS was a particular kind of system that existed before the web. Now we have web forums, which are not BBS. I see there used to be a message board Fanlore page that was folded into this. I think the redirect should go the other way so we can broaden the scope of the page.--aethel (talk) 17:27, 17 October 2015 (UTC)

I implemented this change. I think the terminology ("bulletin boards"--see Kitchen Table Bulletin Board) makes them sound more similar than they actually are--we may want to separate these out again, but right now there aren't any examples of fannish BBSs, so it's hard to say.--aethel (talk) 01:39, 23 January 2017 (UTC)
