About FW

I could kind of see the FW thing before, but now with the definition of anti-fans being people who are not fans of canon or who are disgruntled with it, that doesn't seem to match the makeup of FW at all (I think most FWers are very active in fandom aside from FW). --Kyuuketsukirui 05:53, 10 October 2008 (UTC)

I concur. A lot of FWers are mocking wanky stuff in fandom, but love fandom itself (or love their fandom, at any rate). --Etothepii 06:25, 10 October 2008 (UTC)

Definition

The current definition describes it as mocking, and while there may be some of that, I feel it is far more often a case of severe criticism and tearing down everything about the fandom. They are basically the haters of fandom. Suggestion: change or expand the definition. Tessarabella (talk) 03:03, 7 June 2022 (UTC)

I expanded the definition. I suspect the usage has changed over time; this page was originally created in 2008, but more recently I've seen more discussion of harassment, doxxing, "toxic fandom", really vile behavior. --aethel (talk) 19:46, 1 July 2022 (UTC)
