Talk:AO3 Content Discussion (2016)

I'm making a tentative outline for this overwhelming page, one I've called a very tentative (and not very organic) title.

I've seen the phrase "purity wank" a lot for this, but I'm leery of using it as a title as I don't want to choose a title that represents too narrow a view, and I also suspect the term is used in a wider context. But I could be wrong on that.

I know that the discussion/"wank"/conversation is multi-faceted, has been building and brewing a long time, but wanted to have this page concentrate on the one that began with the most recent AO3 Membership Drive.

I also know this page has the potential for getting too big and trying to cover too many things (because that is the nature of the topic), so we need to be mindful of keeping it pertinent to the specific discussion that is happening now, supplemented by links to other articles/pages on Fanlore that explain further.

This is a big page, and an important one, and it needs a lot of brains, hands, and voices. Please add to it. Even just link dumps are helpful. --MPH (talk) 13:01, 25 October 2016 (UTC)
