Red Hood: The Lost Days #6
In the sixth and final installment of Red Hood: The Lost Days (2010), a single page portrays Talia initiating a sexual encounter with Jason. This page is very controversial—though not as infamous as the contemporary retcon of Talia conceiving a child by date raping Bruce Wayne—to the point that many fans militantly ignore its existence. This sexual has been compared to an inappropriate relationship between a foster parent and a foster child, or a teacher and a student, and has even been described as statutory rape due to DC timeline clues that imply Jason isn't yet 18 years old.
- Some fans believe Jason's skill as a criminal mastermind indicates mentally competent enough to fully consent to sex.
- Some fans point to canon evidence that their sexual encounter took place before Jason's 18th birthday, and therefore it's extra creepy for an adult to sleep with an underage teenager.
- Some fans point out that the age of consent in New Jersey was 16 years old at the time of publication, and therefore the sexual encounter doesn't meet the legal definition of statutory rape.
