When Sweetest Perfection played at Escapade in 1993 or 1994, a strong slash convention, there was a lot of muttering in the audience as the vid itself is obviously het. The muttering rose in volume until someone in the audience piercingly whispered "They're brother and sister!" At that point, the audience quieted down with a general sense of 'Ah, incest. That's why it's here.' So while the het content was problematic for the audience, once the audience was aware of the kink content, the vid became much more acceptable to them.
