Support Group for Fan Fiction Characters: First Meeting, Slash Chapter is a metafictional comic fanfic by Cousin Shelley in which Nick Knight and LaCroix, characters from Forever Knight, attend a support group for characters who are suffering from the abuse they receive at the hand of fans who write slash fiction.
In some archives the fic is filed as a Forever Knight story; in other places it is tagged with multiple fandoms. Certainly, the focus rests with Nick and LaCroix throughout, with the addition of their fellow FK character, Don Schanke, partway through the story. However, characters from Highlander, Star Trek: The Next Generation and The Sentinel also attend the meeting; and other fandoms are referenced towards the end of the fic.
There are several versions of the title. The fullest is found on The Silver Stake, Cousin Shelley's own site, where it is known as "Support Group for Fan Fiction Characters: First Meeting, Slash Chapter". Elsewhere the subtitle is variously shortened: on AO3 it is "Support Group for Fanfic Characters: Slash Chapter"; on Adult-Fanfiction.Org, it is "Support Group for Fanfic Characters, First Meeting"; and on Squidge-World it is simply "Support Group for Fanfic Characters".
The line, "Because we lampoon what we love," is included in either the author's notes or plot summary, depending on the archive.

Oh, geesh, there are so many ways you could continue this!! LOL!! Forever Knight was my first "official" fandom of preference and when I saw this in the "new" section and that it was "slash" AND "joke/comedy", I just HAD to read it. I wasn't disappointed.
