Steven Stone/Zinnia, known mostly as MetalDragonShipping and/or ダイヒガ (Daihiga), is a rare ship in the Pokémon fandom. It pairs Steven Stone (Daigo Tsuwabuki) and Zinnia (Higana), the Champion of the Hoenn region and a semi-rival to the playable character respectively. While Steven was first introduced in Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald, Zinnia comes from the remakes Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.

-Shipping Name Origin

Steven/Zinnia's ship name has somewhat of an odd history. WhisperstoneShipping was coined first, by Tomiko on Serebii.net on 17 November 2014.[1] The name most used by shippers, "MetalDragonShipping," was also coined around the same time on social media and was widely in use by 24 December 2014[Notes 1], it was just never submitted to be considered "official" on the Neverending Romance ship list.

As of the 2020s, MetalDragon is considered an 'untouchable" ship on the list -- ship names that aren't official but have a long history of being used.
