Star Fox is a video game franchise published and produced by Nintendo. It features a cast of anthropomorphic animals in a fantasy space setting known as the Lylat System. The main protagonists are tasked with dismantling a takeover by Emperor Andross' military weapons by piloting futuristic Arwing spacecraft.
The games have had several iterations spanning most of Nintendo's major console releases, starting with the Super Nintendo Entertainment System.
