Sorkinverse - although none of Aaron Sorkin's shows actually share continuity, this term is used by fandom to unite his work into one broader fandom. Mostly used for the television shows Sports Night, The West Wing and Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. The film 'The American President', his breakout rom-com about a President which was later the seed for The West Wing is also included in the Sorkinverse.

Notably, his films about politics which are based on real people - 'Charlie Wilson's War' and 'The Social Network' - are not considered to be part of the Sorkinverse.

Should the new television program (supposedly based thinly on MSNBC pundits) come to pass, it will undoubtedly be considered part of the Sorkinverse. The Sorkinverse already has ties to pundit RPS through Sports Night (a thinly veiled version of Keith Olbermann's time at ESPN) and The West Wing (cameos by various MSNBC pundits, subject matter.)

The Sorkinverse label may be used on crossover fics, or just to indicate a community friendly to all of his work and not one particular show.
