Something is a character in the surreal psychological horror RPG OMORI. It is a representation of Basil and Sunny's trauma regarding Sunny's sister Mari's death, as well as other fears they have.
Canon
Something takes many different forms throughout the game, representing Sunny's fear of heights, fear of spiders, fear of water, and trauma regarding Mari's death. Basil also has a Something representing his trauma, though it is unclear what exactly it is based on.
During the game, both Sunny and Basil hallucinate their Somethings many times. At one point, if the player chooses to try save Basil, Basil will believe that Something was what killed Mari, and stab out Sunny's eye trying to save him from it.
