Remember that little scene in the courtroom at the end of STIV? That’s where this takes place, where McCoy tries to tell Gillian Taylor that Kirk isn’t for her. A couple of pages long, I felt immediately drawn into that scene, watching them watching Kirk watching Spock, waiting. [1]
