Snowpiercer is a 2013 South Korean science fiction action film based on the French graphic novel Le Transperceneige by Jacques Lob, Benjamin Legrand and Jean-Marc Rochette.

The film stars Chris Evans, Song Kang-ho, Tilda Swinton, Jamie Bell, Octavia Spencer, John Hurt, Luke Pasqualino and Ed Harris. The story takes place aboard the globe-spanning Snowpiercer train which holds the last remnants of humanity after a manufactured attempt to stop global warming created a new ice age. Chris Evans stars as Curtis Everett, a member of the lower-class tail section passengers as they lead a revolution against the elite of the front of the train.

Fandom

Some of the fannish interest in the movie is based on the actors because of their previous parts in other fandoms. For example, Chris Evans plays Steve Rogers in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Jamie Bell played Esca in The Eagle, John Hurt was the voice of the Great Dragon in Merlin and Luke Pasqualino is D'Artagnan in The Musketeers.

  • The Interpreter by antistar_e, Mohammed lowered his hands from his ears. "Was that what I think it was?" he said hoarsely, and Muhamed stared back at him for a blank moment, his ears still ringing, before he pushed himself up to check. The ice bit at his face, but it was. It absolutely was. "Fucking finally," he said, and reached for his snowshoes. "Come on, let's go see if any of those train-riding fuckers made it."
