Snitch/Skittery is the slash ship between Snitch and Skittery, minor characters from Newsies.

Canon

There is very little interaction between Snitch and Skittery.

Fandom

The Snitch/Skittery pairing was invented by a girl from Arizona who wrote under the pen name Lute and was our fandom’s Stephen King, in terms of sheer output and popularity; to write a Snitch/Skittery story without crediting her somewhere was simply Not Done.

Sarah Marshall[1]

The first Snitch/Skittery fanfic available on Fanfiction.net in the present day is from February 2003.[2] Lute's works are no longer available on FFN, but they may be archived somewhere on the Wayback Machine, under the username Thumbsucker Snitch.[3][4] A few of her mature works for Snittery are available at Seize The Night and were crossposted on The Refuge. "Someone Out There" in 2005 received over 300 reviews.[5] The pairing's first available mention on LiveJournal is from September 2003.[6] Lute's "Mournful Gaze" may have been the first Snittery work, posted December 6, 2002.[7]

At some point in early 2003, Lute hosted Snitch Week, which included many Snittery fics.[8] One week in March 2004 found 69 drabbles posted to newsies100 for SnitchSkitt, making it the second most popular ship that week.[9]
