Summary

Reactions and Reviews
This is the first really long story I've read by Kay Wells, and is much my favorite of her stories. It is yet another story where Kirk has a hang-up about being in the "bottom" of the relationship. However, the author resolves this with an original twist. The portrayal of the two Vulcan guards further highlighted the plotting of this story. My only criticism is the beginning where Kirk is captured and tortured. I couldn't figure out how this added to the characterization, and it seemed almost a separate story, one I've already read too many times before. I would rather have read more about the two Vulcan guards and their relationship and about Kirk's background, which apparently factors into his fear of being the receptive in intercourse. [1]
This was my favorite story in the zine. I'm a sucker for an aggressive Spock and this story really delivered. Add to that a touch of violence, a lot of sex, some jealousy and you have a great mirror story. I loved every minute of it. [2]
