Sing the Tune is a Kirk/Spock story by Kate Sheridan.

It was published in the print zine First Time #40.

Summary

"Kirk is surprised and a bit unsettled when his relationship with Spock is investigated by Vulcan."

Excerpt

"Know a good shrink?" Kirk asked, slipping into the chair in front of McCoy's desk in the Sickbay office. The older man bit back a snappy reply as the serious tone of his commanding officer registered. "Maybe," he answered, simultaneously switching on the privacy signal so they wouldn't be disturbed. "Know someone who needs one?" "Maybe me," Kirk replied with a slightly nervous laugh and a refusal to look at his friend. Instead, he pretended to study the seemingly disorganized mess on the top of the CMO's desk."

Reactions and Reviews

Kirk speaks with McCoy about having had all his fantasies fulfilled and recounts an experience with the object (guess who) of those fantasies.

"...letting Spock's cock drag along the floor of his pelvis until it sprang free behind, sliding along the crack of Kirk's ass until the human moved far enough upward over the Vulcan's abdomen to be out of range." Umm... what's the "floor of his pelvis" and what exactly are those two guys doing? Couldn't quite get a visual grasp on this...

I'm not sure how I feel about Spock's chest hair "to clump with globs of it lotion" or "the thick gooey mat of hair covering the Vulcan's lower chest" or "the swollen little organ" which I presume refers to the prostate gland, at least I hope it does), but who cares? Skip this stuff and go straight for Spock fingering Kirk to orgasm... [1]

This starts and ends as a sort of true-confession session in which Kirk tells McCoy about his first time with Spock. It's little more than a thinly veiled excuse for a long sex scene. And I didn't care a bit. because it was s great sex scene! Refreshingly unconcerned with plot (plot: Kirk and Spock fuck- A lot,) and pretty lightweight on character (the scene in the shower seemed out of character for Spock; also very little justification was given by either Spock or Kirk for why they were suddenly acting like sehlats in heat when "Spock had never even slightly indicated such an interest in his captain before"). Nor can I really envision Kirk telling McCoy about the encounter in explicit detail But as I read this piece, I didn't care. It's pretty damn hot. Nuff said. [2]

This is one long, passionate, erotic sex scene-no plot, few preliminaries, no afterglow. Did you hear me complain? Not this time. This was, well, wow! It was stimulating, blood pressure elevating, good ole' spicy lovemaking at its K/S best. The music referred to in the title sure wasn't for quiet meditation, I can assure you. Need a stimulant? This is it! [3]
