Some Excerpts

Why did you choose your pen name?

In Sindarin, it means a small bird. My husband is one of those wonderful men who can appreciate a feeder full of bright colored feathers, but does not give his heart to flash. He loves the little brown birds who stay, shivering with you, through the winter when you need them. I am proud to be the little brown bird that came, still wild but willing, into his hands.

Would you agree that fanfiction is a genre dominated by women, and if so, why do you think it's so?

Seems to be. I only discovered fanfiction this year, so I have not thought about it much. I think both sexes do it, but only women will show it. My husband writes, both with me and for me – and he also produces art for me.

This is a site devoted to antagonists. Could you reveal us your favourite Mr. Bad Guy?

You read my work, so I am guessing you know that right now it is Denethor. I am not actually attracted to the dark – (unlike my beta, who always falls for the dark guy! But I do have an attraction to the "Dark Champion " – who looks dangerous, but is really the protector. (Think Zorro... or better yet, Baghera.)
