Why did you choose your pen name?
The name Darion was chosen for me by my girlfriend (waaaay back, just nice memories now :) when I wrote a novel starring two characters who were supposed to act as much like our real selves would act as possible. Of course I never finished the book, but hey, I intend to... sometime... Nevertheless, I am Darion now and as I live more in the world of fantasy (because I always play some kind of Live Action RPG and spend my time with likeminded writers - maniacs) than I do in the real world, I sometimes stop answering to my "real" name. But as a writer, I do not want to use a pseudonym, as I do want to be read because of my stories, not because of some perfect commercial name. So I have some ties with Martin Antonín as well... It might come handy when I get too old to lift my sword...
When did you start writing fanfiction?
To be frank, I do not normally write fanfiction, I prefer my own world in my stories. It's just that I wanted to enter one competition and they only accepted fanfiction. Plus I really wanted to write something about Galadriel wearing the One... I entered the competition again this year, but didn't win – my stories took a much darker twist and really don't fit into Tolkien's world anymore...
