Some Excerpts
Why did you choose your pen name?
The Ayla comes from Ayla in the Clan of Cave Bear series and the Pascal comes from the packet of sweets I was nibbling on at the time.
When did you start writing fanfiction?
Technically I began writing fanfiction in about October 2000, but I didn't actually know what fanfiction was at the time.
Would you agree that fanfiction is a genre dominated by women, and if so, why do you think it's so?
I couldn't speak for fanfiction in general as I have only participated in the HP fandom. The HP fandom though does seem to be dominated by women. I could venture a guess as to the reasons, but the guess would most likely be incorrect.
This is a site devoted to antagonists. Could you reveal us your favourite Mr. Bad Guy?
Overall, I would say that it would be the pre-miraculous-transformation Scrooge from Dicken's 'A Christmas Carol'. He's fascinating. From HP, I would say Tom Riddle. He is technically waging a war against his own kind, a mentality that interests me greatly.
