Silver Tongued Orator is a Blake's 7 Avon/Blake story by Julia Stamford and Predatrix.

"Silver Tongued Orator" by Julia Stamford and Predatrix is an eight page story which starts the zine out. It's an over the top humorous piece. I am ambivalent about it. Predatrix is known for her wild humor so anyone familiar with her work will not be surprised. And I believe Stamford has also written humorous pieces before as well, but I can't currently think of the titles of any of them now. Blake is under the influence of a drug which loosens his tongue, and he embarrasses Avon.[1]
By this point I expect a fic by these authors to a) be light and fun and b) probably involve some sort of BDSM. This one doesn't actually involve BDSM, but it is both light and fun. Blake is talking like a romance novel, Avon finds this very embarrassing. I would probably have preferred Blake telling the truth about his feelings for Avon/for the device to be taken more seriously, but Nova's already written that, so! There's definite room in my world for this.[2]
