Shiroe/Akatsuki is a het pairing between the characters Shiroe and Akatsuki from Log Horizon. The two are not together in canon at the end of season 2, but the series is not over.
Feelings of the Characters
Akatsuki's Feelings
Akatsuki admires Shiroe, and serves him out of a sort of debt for giving her an Appearance Reset Potion. Her feelings for him have grown stronger since the Catastrophe. According to Volume 5:
At this point, just being close to Shiroe made her happy for no reason. She was so hooked that she'd gotten serious about practicing silent walking and sneaking up behind him.It embarrassed Akatsuki to give that feeling a name, even if it was just inside her mind, but in a word, it was affection. Akatsuki was aware that it was the sort of affection that had to do with the opposite sex.
Shiroe's Feelings
Shiroe thinks Akatsuki is extremely talented and admires her skill as an Assassin. The first time he sees her after she drinks the Appearance Reset Potion in Volume 1, he also finds her to be beautiful.
Unlike Shiroe, Akatsuki was a pure-blooded human, and if the same logic were applied to her, she was beautiful, full stop. Large black eyes in a pale oval face. Eyebrows like elegant arcs of deep black ink. If she looked like this even through the warped lens of the game world, the real Akatsuki must be incredibly lovely--the sort of girl anyone would call a beauty.Shiroe felt paralyzed. He hadn't expected her to be so pretty.
At the Conference of Lords in Volume 3, Shiroe is rendered near-speechless at the sight of Akatsuki in her ball attire:
There was nothing strange about Akatsuki's costume. On the contrary: It was arrestingly lovely. Her beautiful black hair had been arranged, and her petite, slender body was sheathed in a gown. Its overall basic color was pearl, but the train of her light, flowing skirt was dyed turquoise to a point about halfway up, and as the color continued upward, it melted into the pearl white.The clean color combination exquisitely complimented her black hair and eyes, lending her a dignified beauty. "Umm..."
In Volume 5, it is stated that Akatsuki's beauty makes Shiroe nervous:
As usual, when Akatsuki peeked up at him from below, Shiroe started in spite of himself. This petite, beautiful girl wasn't aware that she was a beautiful girl. Because she gazed up at him steadily, without looking away, Shiroe always had a close-up view of her large, black eyes, like polished obsidian; and her lips, which shone with a jellylike luster. It made him feel nervous and scattered.
Other Characters
Henrietta
According to the Log Horizon Wiki, Henrietta also has a crush on Shiroe, but will not pursue it since she thinks Akatsuki (or Minori) would be better for him.
Furthermore, she is capable of reading other people's emotions, recognizing both Akatsuki's and Minori's crushes on Shiroe. Despite her own feelings for the man, she decides not to pursue him, seeing the other two as being more suitable for his affections.
