Shenzi, Banzai and Ed are a trio of hyena characters from the universe of The Lion King. They are seldom seen apart.
Canon
The relationships between the three hyenas has been left ambiguous, though there have been hints here and there over the years. In the mobile game Disney Magic Kingdoms, Shenzi emphatically says that she and Banzai are not related, and suggests they may actually be mates.[1]
Fandom
The hyenas are much less frequently incorporated into fanworks and headcanons than the lions are. Other hyena characters, such as Asante from the Six New Adventures or Janja etc from The Lion Guard will sometimes be incorporated into fanworks featuring the trio.
