Shane Walsh/Merle Dixon, commonly known as Sherle, is a minor slash pairing in The Walking Dead television series fandom. The two characters, Shane Walsh and Merle Dixon canonically knew one another, but were never in a scene together. However, they are sometimes seen to be compatible due to their somewhat similar personalities. This pairing is sometimes used as a minor or background relationship in fanworks about other pairings (particularly Rick Grimes/Daryl Dixon), but only one fanwork on Archive of Our Own (Higher Ground) currently features Sherle as the main pairing.
