Summary
From the publisher:
As scholars and archivists from Gondor sort through the relics left in Isengard by the traitor Saruman, evidence is discovered that someone else searches for something as well. Meanwhile, Blair's melancholy at what should be a happy time - the winter holidays - seems to have no cause and when Blair suggests visiting Naomi in Middle Earth, Jim agrees in hopes it will cheer his Guide. But once there, it becomes apparent Blair's mood, and an unsettling dream shared by Faramir and Jim, are the first warnings of trouble rising from the ashes of Sauron's fall, trouble that could eventually send Middle Earth back into darkness.
