Shěn Wēi is one of the two main characters in the danmei novel Guardian by Priest and its television adaptation. In the drama he is played by Zhu Yilong.
Canon
Shen Wei has a secret identity, though his true nature differs between the novel and drama. In the novel he is immortal and a supernatural being, but in the drama his superpowers have a science fiction explanation (he's an alien Dixing).
In the drama he works at the university and dresses the part of a "mild-mannered professor". His secret job is catching escaped Dixingren, using the alias Black-Cloaked Envoy (黑袍使 Hēi Páo Shǐ).
