The project's interest check ran from January 9, 2021 to February 1, 2021. Contributor applications ran from Jan 31, 2021 to March 1, 2021, garnering 500 responses.

Preorders opened August 5, 2021, and were initially scheduled to close September 5, 2021, but were later extended to September 19, 2021. The following pricing tiers were offered:

• Seelie Trail ($25 USD): Physical Zine + Bookmark
• Seelie Common Chest ($35 USD): ?
• Seelie Exquisite Chest ($50 USD): ?
• Seelie Precious Chest ($70 USD): ?
• Seelie Luxurious Chest ($90 USD): ?

PDFs of the zine were included in all bundles.

The zine did a collaboration with the Allure Fire Emblem zine, giving some wallpapers and Zhongli emotes to anyone ordering from both zines. The Seelie Tales zine Twitter also hosted a promotional giveaway of a full bundle and a Diluc plush.

Zine shipping was underway in April 2022. As of February 2023, the most recent update on the zine Twitter was that the remaining stamps would be mailed out in late February, all other orders having been shipped.
