Reactions and Reviews
1992
This is an example of a sequel that surpasses the original story. Not only do we have the very interesting Non-Reform Vulcans, but we also have a situation where Humans can teach Vulcans and give them something of immense value. I love reading about what happens when two cultures meet so this story is always likely to remain a favorite of mine. I do have one quibble, however, and it's important to the plot. I wonder why it is that no one else has ever scanned Kirk and found him to be non-Vulcan before. It seems to me that this should have happened on Vulcan, and that Kirk's identity would have been out of the bag long before this. [1]
