Seasons in the Archives is an ongoing seasonal event community for The Magnus Archives fandom. So far, there have been 7 events: Summer in the Archives, Halloween in the Archives, Winter in the Archives/Secret Snowflake gift exchange, Spring in the Archives, Halloween in the Archives, Finish Your WIPs Fall, and Valentines in the Archives.

Summer in the Archives was the first event run by Seasons in the Archives and was described as “a big bang and reverse bang at the same time.” This event was open to artists and writers of every skill level, and minors. Artists and writers were paired together and were able to pick between writing fanfiction based on art, art based on fanfiction, or collaborating equally with their partners. The first Summer in the Archives event ran from June to August in 2021, and the second from July to September in 2022.

The second event was Halloween in the Archives, an event focused around writing and making art of smaller “spooky” things. This ran from September to October in 2021.

The third event was Winter in the Archives, a secret snowflake gift exchange which ran from December to January in 2021 to 2022.

The fourth event was Spring in the Archives, a small individual event focused on themes of rebirth, healing, growth, renewal, and, in the 2023 version, new beginnings. The 2023 theme was added to commemorate the announcement of The Magnus Protocol. It ran from March to May in 2022 and 2023.

The fifth event was Finish Your WIPs Fall, an event with no prompts or deadlines that focused on finishing works in progress. It was created to foster a community giving people encouragement and accountability and sign ups were in October.

The sixth event was Valentines in the Archives, another gift exchange event, which ran from January to February in 2023.
