Saved by the Bell was a popular 1980s-1990s teen sitcom starring a group of friends in high school along with their principal. It had two spin-offs, the first was The College Years which focused on some of the original teens in college, while the second one The New Class focused on a new group of friends/students in high school.

Canon

Saved by the Bell originated from a NBC pilot entitled Good Morning, Miss Bliss, which was later shown on Disney Channel before being dropped after 13 episodes. NBC later redid it and focused on the students themselves, with the only characters that came from the original show to continue to the newly titled "Saved by the bell" were Zack Morris, Screech, Lisa, and Mr. Belding. The setting also changed from Indianapolis, Indiana, to the fictional "Bayside High School" in the Palisades in Los Angeles, California.
