Reactions and Reviews

1994

My favorite in this zine! terrific story with a lot of new ideas! Kirk's straightforward manner in making a pass at Spock took my breath away ... just as Spock's! Kirk was irresistible!!! This story needs a sequel! I see right before my eyes their next meeting! And as I know T'Lessa (I liked her very much!! , she'll approve of Kirk... I can see the three of them being happy together for the rest of their lives. Please start writing! [1]

If you don't know that this is premised on the movie of the same title, you might be a little lost at the way things proceed, but even if you never saw the Alan Alda movie, you can't escape the intensity of feeling conveyed by the writer. It is plausible that Spock would arrange yearly meetings and not consider it a betrayal of his wife. In any case, the writer makes you accept the premise by involving you immediately in Spock's infatuation, drawing you step by step into his obsession. [2]

1995

Written too well for this to be from a new author. I enjoyed this story but it wasn't the norm. If you're looking for the i's dotted and t's crossed, this will leave you wondering just what was REALLY behind this story.[3]
