A Same Age AU is an Alternate Universe where characters who canonically/usually are of different ages are portrayed as the same age. Canon examples exist in the form of spin-offs, such as the many "baby" spin-off cartoons (Muppet Babies, Baby Looney Tunes, Flinstones Kids, etc). In fan works, a popular subset is the High School AU where children or adults are made into teenagers. Characters may have their ages changed for shipping purposes, to have fun re-designing them, to make them more relatable to a certain age group, or for other reasons.
