Saint Seiya B Gaiden is a series of fancomics created by Manechan and Xau & Xu. They revolve around the five Bronze Saints.
Volume 1
The first volume was released for the 2012 Barcelona International Comic Fair, it contained 180 pages in a A5 format. It also came with a Shun bookmark with artwork by Manechan until stock lasted. The remaining zines were sold online until sold out. The original price was six euros. It also contained collabs from other authors such as Dac, ARN, Xtina and Superpegaso.
At their Barcelona Comicon stand, the authors signed the comic and made a small doodle of the buyer's favorite character. They also did this with mail-order comics, if requested.[1] It's a comic heavy on humor and easter eggs for the readers, the authors tried to make it closer to Japanese doujinshi than to the usual fanzine. Depending on Volume 1 success.
Synopsis: Seiya, Shiryu, Hyoga, Shun and Ikki have just arrived at their respective destinations and meet their teachers and the rest of the people they will live with during their process as aspiring knights. The personalities of each one will collide with the new environment in very different ways XD[2]
Volume 2
Volume 2 was released in 2015 due to the great success of the first volume. This comic premiered at the Barcelona Manga Fair. In this second volume, the second year of training of the Bronze Saints will be seen. Like issue one, it's also heavy on humor and fanservice. It had 188 pages in A5 format and cost six euros, including postage for mail order sales.[3]
Volume 3
Volume 3 was released in 2018. It has more than 200 pages and tells the third year of the five Bronze Saints in their quest to obtain their Cloth.
