Reactions and Reviews

Two universes interphase and Kirk and Spock's beamdown goes awry, leaving the Human and Vulcan stranded on a planet with a different timeline. The story starts somewhat backend to, with Jim and Spock beamed up to the ship after being missing 8 days. Though they have been out of touch for only this short real time, in their universe it's been 2 years. In the interval they've fallen in love. So what's the problem? I wondered. Well, it seems Spock hadn't even been sexually mature until Kirk started making love to him day and night down there. And I do mean down there! While caught in interspace, their emotional ups and downs truly are a rollercoaster, as Spock gets angry, thinking about Jim and what Spock is afraid he'll do when they're rescued by the Enterprise. This didn't seem to me to be much like our Spock and I was put off by that; as usual, I wanted it all sweetness and light. As for Kirk, he doesn't have much control over his sexual urges in that primitive setting: eating berries and going around naked all day for two years. (Am I in heaven, I thought, or what??) Then Spock goes through his "zTch'var", a state akin to human puberty. I felt so sorry for him. Does everything related to Vulcan sexuality have to be so damned violent and painful?! Anyway, with Kirk after him day and night, Spock finally has his first orgasm. (This seems far-fetched.) Later he goes into pon farr and Kirk obliges him. "It was good!" Kirk admits to old country doc, McCoy, on his return to the ship. In the end (snicker!), back on the ship, Spock now changes his mind and tries to sever the mate-bond, thinking Kirk doesn't want it. Oh, silly Vulcan! The doc brings them together, they make love in an extremely lovely scenario. Finis. In other words it was two idyllic years(their time) of love-fogged lust/sex/love, and they even had melds. What more could I want? [1]
