Named after the lead character, the Robert Langdon series follows the investigative Harvard University professor of religious iconology and symbology, Robert Langdon, while traversing historic locations in search of constant spiritual journey himself, written by American author Dan Brown.

Between the years 2006 and 2017, 3 out of 5 of his novels were adapted for film by Columbia with Tom Hanks in the role of Professor Robert Langdon, the titles were: The Da Vinci Code (2006), Angels & Demons (2009) and Inferno (2017).

Posteriorly the novel The Lost Symbol was adapted in 2021 with the plot revolves around a young Robert Langdon, who is hired by the CIA to solve a number of deadly puzzles when his mentor goes missing.[1] By March 2020, Ashley Zukerman had been cast in the lead role.[2] Later that month it was announced that the production had been given a series order and would be moving to Peacock.[3] The show premiered on September 16, 2021, concluded on November 18, 2021, and was officially canceled after one season on January 24, 2022.[4].
