Robert Anson Heinlein was an American science fiction author. He is often considered as one of the Big Three of the Golden Age of English-speaking Science Fiction, alongside Isaac Asimov and Arthur C. Clarke. He also was a writer for various episodes of Star Trek: The Original Series.

Heinlein coined the term to grok in his 1961 novel Stranger in a Strange Land.

In 1994, a crater on Mars was named after Heinlein.[1]
