Robbie Perkins was a fan artist whose drawings and artwork have appeared in a number of zines and publications from the late 1970s to the 1990s in several different fandoms, including Space: 1999, Star Wars, and Star Trek: The Next Generation.

She was also involved in costuming and cosplay in each of these fandoms.

Perkins contributed artwork to numerous fan publications, including A Year in the Life! (Space: 1999), as well as Involution 4 and The Beverly File 3.

Obituary

Robbie Lee Perkins, 59, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away January 12, 2023 at Toledo Hospital, surrounded by family and friends. She was born May 25, 1963 in Bowling Green to Alvin and Gail (Studer) Perkins.

Robbie was a 1981 graduate of Bowling Green High School. She then went on to obtain her Associate’s Degree in CAD from Owens Technical College. She worked at Maumee Research and Engineering until 2003 and then worked as a Records Technician at the Wood County Court House for 20 years. Robbie loved the Arts and was a very talented Artist herself. She painted portraits of Barbara Bain and Martin Landau whom she later got to meet and share the portraits with. Both Barbara and Martin signed her portraits, and she treasured them.

Robbie took special interest in Science Fiction and loved Space 1999 and Star Wars. She had a special place in her heart for animals, especially cats and dogs. She will be missed by Furgus and Mackenzie, her rescued cats.

She is survived by her mother Gail Perkins of Bowling Green, brother Thomas (Lori) Perkins of Bowling Green, nephew Joe Cary and niece Katherine Blair, aunt Karen (Doug) Mold and uncle Larry Studer.

She was preceded in death by her father Alvin Perkins and her aunt Micki Studer.

Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday January 18, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Dunn Funeral Home, located in the Historical District of Bowling Green at 408 W. Wooster St. Pastor Robin Small will officiate. Interment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens in Waterville, Ohio. Visitation will be held Wednesday morning at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m.[1]
