Reise ohne Ende (abbreviated RoE) is a three part Transformers Animated fanfiction series on Archive of Our Own by suna_scribbles. It is named after the first work in the series. As of May 2022, the third installment of the series is still ongoing, with it's most recent update being Dec 2021.

Plot

RoE is a slow burn enemies to lovers Bumblebee/Blitzwing (Blitzbee) fanfic with elements of angst and fluff.

The first work in the series, Reise ohne Ende, places Bumblebee and Blitzwing together lost in the woods by the shore of an unknown body of water. With their ability to transform broken down, and Bumblebee not wanting the Decepticons to locate him before the Autobots, the two are stuck together walking. Along the way, they argue and eventually learn to enjoy one another's company and attention. By the end, when they have come back to civilization, this becomes affection and love. However it is left to continue in the next work of the series.

Auf Nimmerwiedersehen continues with both back in their respective bases. They meet up and date secretly, wishing they could run away. When Bumblebee's secret is discovered by his team he has to face the consequences of their scorn. At the same time, Megatron begins to enact a new plan.

Kein Weg Zurück expands the plot past just the romance, with Megatron on the loose. Bumblebee and Blitzwing must work together with the Autobots to stop him and save the the Earth and Cybertron.

Reception

RoE had a large positive reception on AO3, with all three in the series appearing on the front page of the Bumblebee/Blitzwing kudos; as of May 2022, Reise ohne Ende itself is the top in way of Buumblebee/Blizwing kudos.

While Auf Nimmerwiedersehen has fewer kudos than the first work in the series, it has several hundred more comments.

I just found this fic, and I was thinking nothing when I start reading it. And honestly, I'm glad I found it.

I confess, I am interested of stories where Blitzwing and Bumblebee being in a relationship that does not involve killing each other horribly, but your fic gives me the very BumbleBlitz story I want: a slow burn story where both characters had to work together to survive while being aware of their mutual suspicious and enmity at the beginning. Honestly I love stories like these, and you really capture their personality very well. It makes the story more interesting and believable.

Not to mention you wrote Blitzwing as a character with his own logic and worries, rather than some creep or some crazy comic relief. Not to mention the detail of action and environment! Makes it feel real to the audience.

I'm glad you wrote this fic, and I'm looking forward for more chapters soon!

INALLY they managed to talk! What is that difficult guys? I'm glad Bumblebee broke the ice first, and I smiled when he made the pinky promise, that was so cute ^^ and even if it ends on a cliffhanger, it still shows some progress in their relationship, it's nice to see Blitzwing trusting Bee enough to share his nightmare with him.

But was it really few months since they went missing? That's a lot! The poor Autobots must be freaking out or even mourning the little Bee... if only they knew!
