Rites of Passage is a gen 196-page Starsky and Hutch novel by Emmie Busch.
From the author in a 1996 Black Bean Soup:
A post-Sweet Revenge novella that begins with Starsky's release from the hospital. The story follows the guys through his recovery process, complications from a dangerous case Hutch investigated with his temporary partner, a murder investigation, some major career decisions and brings them into contact with the sometimes glamourous, sometimes unpredictable, but never dull world of the music business.[1]
Also from the author:
DEDICATION
I would like to dedicate Rites of Passage to the memory of Eric Carr, late drummer for the rock band KISS. His courage, strength and class in the face of a tragic illness defined the term "indomitable spirit." His example never ceases to inspire me.
And, of course, to PMG and DS: thank you for so expertly and magically developing these characters for us.
