Reactions and Reviews

1988

"Revenge", by D.A. Martin, is an unoriginal plot where a Klingon holds a phaser on captives Kirk and Spock and orders them to make love to each other. Thankfully, they are rescued before things get too serious, but, of course, they soon continue on the ship. If nothing else, this story was erotic. [1]

1990

I liked the way Kirk responded in this situation once he realized he could do nothing to stop it. Even though he and Spock were forced to have sex it was Kirk who was in control, not Kobar. Kobar even tells Kirk "you will do only what I direct, when I direct." Kirk of course replies to this "'F... you, Klingon. I'll do what I like.' Kirk shot a look at Spock. 'What he likes.'" Doesn't this sound like something Kirk would say in this situation? I think so. Of course, Spock knocks out Kobar before the sexual act is completed, so a frustrated Kirk and Spock get beamed back on board the Enterprise. I really like the way Debbie wrote Kirk being frustrated. She writes him so accurately. [2]
