Raymond is a minor character from the Animal Crossing series. He first debuted in New Horizons as one of the many animal residents that can live on the player's island.
Reception and Popularity
Images of new villagers for New Horizons were revealed in Japanese promotional materials in early 2020, and Raymond (whose name was then unknown) immediately became a fan favorite.[1][2] Raymond's name was revealed on Twitter by Crossing Channel, who contributed to the game's official guide book, on March 16, 2020,[3] four days before the game's release.
When the game was released, many fans went to great lengths to get Raymond on their islands, including purchasing him from other players. This was because Raymond didn't have an amiibo card yet.
