Mmmmm. Interesting - wondering where you're going with this - what's going to happen when Lucius shows up? And how's Snape going to react? And exactly how "touchy" will they be after the first week...?

OK, now here's a VERY interesting idea! I'm not much of a slash fan, but this is a really clever story. I'll watch out for any future bits... it'll be interesting to see how Harry and Draco cope.

I saw this on hpslash though I don't usually read WIPs till they're substantially done, but it was good to find a decent chunk of it posted on . Being quite a Harry/Draco fan, I'll say this is one of the better fics I've read - I especially liked the dry sarcastic humour woven into the narration as well as the dialogue - I cracked a smile and laughed at more than a few occasions. You've got some good sniping going on there. I liked this exchange of words: Very nice. And this piece of imagery was excellent: "What do you know?" He snarled harshly. "Only what I see." Returned Harry softly.] Very nice. And this piece of imagery was excellent: [Their eyes meet, cold steel clashing with bright jade, fierce and challenging. Threat was clear, so was helpless panic and biting rage, in eyes that were less like ice than they were distant storm clouds. Storm clouds promising soul saving rain or heart crushing torrents in a single gust of wind. Loved this paragraph. The story was a smooth read save a few sp & grammar errors that a beta would've fixed. Keep up the writing - I seldom review unless a story's really worth it (which yours is) but when I do, I do a nice long proper one. :-) Looking forward to the next part soon! -- Rhysenn

okay. Um, EWWWWW. okay ew ew ew ew ew ! ~shudders uncontrollably~ ugh, that was.. GROSS! but, I thank you that it was not Harry/Draco naturally, that would have had bad consequenses with my stomach. EWWWWWWWWWWWWW! okay, i think i got all of them out... wait... EW! okay. That was well written, considering. One question, do you think they belong together? ~shudders again~

Congratulations! That was a thoroughly enjoyable read. I hope heaps of people read it because it is a well written, tantalising and (most importantly) gentle introduction to the slash genre. Wonderfully well written. Great set up. Snicker. Loved the teachers reaction. Nice to see a story where the characters simply react to each other instead of a giant homophobia sub-plot.

Ahhhh. I just *love* this story. I'm not a *really* big fan of Draco/Harry stuff, but this is superb. Beyond superb. Delightful. Of course, the sexual tention in the air is getting intolerable. Make something happen, damn it! There were a few spelling errors, but it was overall very well done. I *adored* the 'humming stripper music' part. You do Draco so well! Rock on!

You are evil. Pure evil. Let me tell you why. I was all set last night to enjoy a quiet evening at home. I'd had a long day and I wanted to get some rest. So I went to FFnet, and read your story. All day I've been wondering what's going to happen next! If you don't finish this story soon I'll scream! What a wonderful, horrible situation you've put them in! Even if you start writing absolute garbage (which I don't think is possible) I'll want to keep reading, just because your first three chapters were so good. *Checks favorites box* Write more!

I am in love with this story. I don't often like slash stories because most of them are just about the sex, however this story is one of the best I've ever read, slash or no slash. I love the idea of Harry and Malfoy, it really works because Sadie makes it work. The story line is great, I have no complaints other then that I'm just dying waiting for the next part so please, hurry and get it out! I've been reading through a lot of these Potter fan fics, just trying to find one as good as this to tide me over til chapter 4 comes out, but theres just nothing as good! Its as good as Rwoling herself and I think she should read it.

Wow, I am very, very impressed. Don't worry. Your Dumbledore was fine, if not a little too blunt about his objectives. This is not, in any way, sick. It's too genuinely sweet to be sick. I don't like romance most of the time, but this proved to be...well, outstanding. I like the fact that it wasn't like, "Oh, look, a spell was cast on me and now I'm madly in love with my arch rival. Let's go snogging!" I hope you keep it sweet and slow, just as it is. (Harry's little moments of "losing himself" are absolutely adorable.) This story has hit me right in the heart, right where it should have. Kudos to you, Miss Omnipotent Author you.

OH! I almost forgot. That scene, where they were curled up in the patch of sun on the bed, was so positively...well...I haven't read a scene as touching as that for ages. Do I have no life...? _;;

I hope you don't mind me saying this, but I'd find this much easier to read if you got someone to beta it for spelling. Often you use the wrong word but spell it right, so that the spell checker won't pick it up - for example, "amenity" instead of "emnity". The plot is good, and I like the characterisation.

The way the denial between them is portrayed here is excellent. I love how they are slowly starting to get along and even have real conversations. I think Dumbledore should've written to Sirius as well - it'd be better for them to stay with him as opposed to the Dursleys, and that's considering the fact that Lucius wants Sirius dead as well. Ron and Hermione are adorable - keep throwing in as many R/H hints as you want. ;) I'm curious as to how they'll cope with the new info and what they're going to do about it. *Loved* the neck rub bit. I can't wait to see Harry and Draco finally facing the rest of the school and going back to classes.

I like the whole idea, totally unique and great. Then there's Lucius Malfoy. I like that you portrayed him differently from how I've seen him in other fics. Mostly he's the rapist sadistic bastard. I love that you're making him different. I would have reviewed each part, but I didn't want to stop reading that long. So I'll just be long-winded in here. Your sense of humor is great and the color coding of the spell was inspired. Plus the constant physical contact. The only problems I see is that you make a lot of typos, some of your grammar is off, and your sentence structure is hell. Like, '"I'm glad that someone does." Was all Dumbledore said, the warmth returning to his face.' should be '"I'm glad that someone does," was all Dumbledore said, the warmth returning to his face.' but that's just an example. I know I'm sounding picky, but maybe you had different grammar structure lessens than I did, so it's okay. I mean, it's not terrible, but it gets annoying after a while. Good job on this chapter! Plenty of angst, yes, yes..

Hey, I've read lots of fic here, but this is the first time I've felt compelled to write a review...I mean, wow. This story is absolutely ace. This is easily one of the best H/D fics I've ever read, possibly *the* best. You've managed to combine humor and drama with a fabulous plot. And extra points for writing that really, *really* hot bedroom scene in chapter four. Even though I love m/m slash, it rarely does anything for me in the uh, grrfeisty sense, but damn, girl. This had me on the edge of my seat, twitching from the sexual tension that practically leaped off the screen. By the end, I was staring blankly at the TBC..., then blinking rapidly and hoping it would transform into a Next Chapter link. Please, for my sanity (and the sanity of others, judging by the reviews), do keep going with this. You've written something really amazing and I can't wait to see where it goes from here.

Uh. I'm not supposed to say this, but the whole serie of 'Protective Bonds' is absolutely fantastic! Especially the fourth chapter is very amusing -not only because of the erotic tense between Harry &Draco. Please, keep on writing. 'Protective Bonds' is the best fanfic I've ever read -and I'm serious about this.

Well I was rereading Whether Chaos or Calm when I decided to visit your profile, and discovered this story. Since it was you I knew it would be good, saw the 233 reviews you had and I just needed to check it out. I don't normally read Potter stuff, I hear some wierd stories about it in the other sections. But then I started this and... Well I love it. The plot is (as far as I can tell) original, but more importantly it is well done. The story is well written including but not limited to- attention to detail, well developed characters, realistic and IC characters (Dumbledore was perfectly well done), good description, good grammar and spelling and most of all writing in a way that makes the story seem poetical, unusual amongst fanfiction but very pleasant. I really really really like this story, i don't know if I can express that enough. So, as your friend Gwen would say "People, we have acheived soap operah" and it's damn good too. Now after your ego completes its ulcer please write more SOON!

This is undoubtedly the best piece of slash fanfiction I have read. Every part of the plot that others mess up, this illustrates wonderfully. Proper characterization, a believable scenario for bringing Harry and Draco together... everything fits together. I just read the latest part on your website, but I couldn't find a guestbook, so I came over here to review. It was amazing! The sex was tasteful-yet-erotic, with just the right amounts of tenderness and roughness. And the pillow talk at the end was very sexy. Hats off to you for writing *good* slash. You have a real talent in writing; don't ever lose it.
