Possessed is a Kirk/Spock story by Ray Newton. It is a sequel to Possession, a story by Toni Cardinal-Price.
It was published in the print zine Naked Times #4/5.
Summary
"One of the most surprising K/S stories ever to be written. A tightly controlled plot set in the mirror universe leads us to believe on thing… when another thing entirely is really transpiring. Twists and turns -- sexy and sometimes frustrating!"
Reactions and Reviews
1983
... a sequel to Cardinal-Price's ' Possession' in NT 2 which ended with Spock killing Kirk using the Tantalus Field. Turns out he's less dead than we thought. It's the master/slave bit; if you like that premise you'll like this story, made extra brutal by taking place in the Mirror Universe. [1]
1992
It definitely isn't "politically correct" to like this story in which Spock punishes Kirk for his violent rape of Spock in the prequel. Yet I loved the eroticism of the banquet scene in which Kirk has to serve Spock naked and on his knees in the presence of the USS Enterprise bridge crew. There are few scenes in K/S to match this one. And I loved the moving surprise turnabout when Spock raises him to his feet saying, "My Captain kneels to no one." [2]
1996
This is the sequel to "Possession" by Toni Cardinal-Price in NT2, though I don't believe it matters if you read the first story first.
Mirror Spock has Mirror Kirk (a vicious, drunken sadist who had tried to rape Spock) a prisoner in his quarters, then later on Vulcan, as his pleasure slave, branded, the whole thing. There is some amount of beating, punishment, humiliation, etc. (actually, not so much "gratuitous" as rather ho-hum in some parts). Well, Kirk comes to love his master in bed, although believing his master does not love him.
In an escape attempt out in the desert, delirious, Kirk awakens in the cool and dark to a voice he remembers, a wonderful soft voice, our Spock. He bears his soul, his love for his Spock, his jealousy for the love Kirk and Spock have. When he is returned to his master, feeling he has nothing to lose, he confesses his love to Spock.
He is put through some humiliating tests, such as being exposed as a pleasure slave in front of the crew of the ship. This, to see if he would go back to the ship as Spock's slave, even with the crew knowing what the former captain has been reduced to.
Spock frees him; it was all a ruse. Because Kirk had been so deplorable to Spock, Spock took everything from him, his freedom and pride, and now is giving it all back again, because Kirk loves him with a totally giving purity. However...there is a fascinating twist at the end that really makes this story. I love that no hints were given throughout the story, so it really is a surprise.
A lovely ending; they bond. They know a secret truth beneath their love.... [3]
