Poodling refers to wearing a fursuit and showing human skin as well; such as wearing a furry head and paws while wearing a tank top. Some furries like the aesthetic of poodling. It is also cheaper to buy a partial fursuit than a fullsuit. Poodling allows furries to dress up on hot days; fullsuits can become dangerously hot even in cold weather. Some conventions ban or discourage poodling, based on the idea it "ruins the magic."[1] This is controversial and "poodling discourse" is a frequent debate topic in the furry fandom.
