Some Excerpts
Why did you start writing hanfic? How long have you been writing?
I am not sure why really, my friends and I often talked about ideas and I think I was just the one to pick up the pen and paper and begin to write them. At that time, 1997, Hanson had just become popular and they were the subject of many of our ideas. I wrote Hanfic for about 4-5 years and then stopped, I just recently did a few with Hanson in them.
I have been writing for 17 years with just a few short breaks. As a side note, when I began writing computers were not popular so all of my earlier stories are hand written with pen and notebook paper.
Do you write other fiction and/or fanfic as well? If so, what genres/fandoms/etc?
Hanfic is really the only fandom I have ever written in. There was a brief story with NKOTB but it was scrapped and re-written using Hanson.
90% of my stories are non-fanfiction. I am not sure how I would truly classify them but if I had to guess maybe action, drama, and maybe angst. I am not good with super sappy love stories but I do try to include love and soul mates into stories if/when appropriate.
What is your writing process like?
I really do not have any real process. Generally I start writing with the idea that comes to mind and I see where it goes. I then read them afterward and if I need to edit or fix I do. Sometimes, although rarely, I will make a plan and plan ahead of time.
