Why did you start writing hanfic? How long have you been writing?
I’ve been writing Hanfic since the summer of 1998, really. One of my best friends and I would sit at her computer and read Hanfic written by other people and one day we decided to start our own. It’s snowballed since then.
I have always loved to read and write, as long as I can remember. The first time I thought I was any good at it was when I was in third grade; our teacher assigned us a short story. When I got my paper back, she had given me an A+ with bonus points for descriptiveness.
Do you write any other types of fanfic or original fic? If so, how is that different from hanfic?
I write all kinds of fiction, from poetry to short stories. Most of my fanfic is Hanson, but I do tread in to the Supernatural fandom on occasion.
Where do your ideas and inspiration come from?
As hokey as this sounds–life. Sometimes, it’s something that has happened to me (a lot of the stuff on lipsticklullaby is from direct personal experience), other times it’s fantasy (imagine being the center of a Zaylor sandwich). The easiest thing for me is to write what I know and what I want.
