The Percy/Oliver Fic Carnival was a Percy/Oliver fanfiction challenge modelled on the Fuh-Q Fest.
The idea of a Percy/Oliver Fuh-Q Fest was first suggested on the POWSN list by DarkeStar in July 2003 and was met with interest.[1] Mizzy suggested the "Fic Carnival" as a fresh spin on the FQF format.[2]
Stories written for the fest were posted in the files section of the fest Yahoo! group, which is now offline.[3] Plans to archive the fics created for the fest on the fest's website were not realized. Although there were plans for three "days" (waves) of the fest, prompts for the second and third days were also never posted on the website. However, it appears that plans for at least the second day proceeded on the fest Yahoo! group. Mizzy, who was in charge of the fest website, later stated that she had to leave the fest unexpectedly.[4]
Timeline
The planned "days" (waves) of the fest were as follows:
- Day 1: August 25, 2003 - October 25, 2003, later extended by a month[5]
- Day 2: November 15, 2003 - January 20, 2004
- Day 3: February 24, 2004 - June 2, 2004

- Sonnet XXIX by carleton97. Prompt: Wizard's are real, ghosts,witches, monsters... Why not aliens? Aliens attack Hogwarts!
- Matchmaking by Societal Casualty. Prompt: Percy and Oliver, unattached, attempt to match-make all over school, not realizing the school is trying to match-make them right back.
