Oshi is a term used by some fans of Japanese media to refer to an Idol they are a supporter of such as J-Pop stars or, increasingly, v-tubers. The term is originates in Japanese (推) and is a shortening of oshimen, meaning "a member (of a group) that you are a special supporter, and active promoter, of". [1]
