ontd1d is a LiveJournal community for the One Direction fandom modeled on Oh No They Didn't. It was founded by eachtoeach, a 1d_bigbang mod.
It was created almost a year after ontd_1d, a similar-sounding but unrelated community. A few comments from others on twitter suggest that the ontd_1d mods may have been losing interest in the community[1], and the introduction post on ontd1d says, "An active and organized 1D comm is all we seek"[2], which could have been a slight against ontd_1d. Or it might not.
There were 12 participants in an October 2012 shipping poll asking people what their favorite ship was; Liam/Louis and Liam/Zayn tied for first place (8 votes each). Liam/Louis/Zayn won favorite OT3.[3] (ontd_1d also ran shipping polls.[4])
As of February 2022, the community has 114 posts; 1,228 comments; and 72 members.[5] The community has open membership, and posts are public as of 2022. The community was most active August-October 2012, and many of the posts were by the mods.
