One West Waikiki is an 19-episode American crime/drama CBS TV show set in Hawaii. Follows Dr. Dawn "Holli" Holliday (Cheryl Ladd), a forensics expert who is appointed as the State of Hawaii's Medical Examiner and the Lt. Mack Wolfe (Richard Burgi), Honolulu PD's No.1 homicide detective. The two work together in order to solve several crimes in a love-hate relationship.

One West Waikiki's fandom is relatively small, relying heavily on fans of Richard Burgi, drawn from The Sentinel fandom, both of which he stars. Because of this, several crossovers between the two is fairly common, the most being those focused on Mack and Jim being related in some way or they being the same person, in a same-actor crossover.
Fanfic initially mostly appeared on personal author pages and some are now located on Archive of Our Own, however, not all of them have correct category marking. An example is Sugar is Sweet which features characters from OWW, but is only in the The Sentinel category.
