Fan Comments

I think I'm a bigger fan of S&H as vid subjects than as fanfiction although I can remember being addicted to the show when it first came out. This vid really gave a kind of cool dysfunctional symmetry <G> to that whole relationship -- which always started out strong and then fractured as the series went on. Putting into a slash context the whole thing makes a lot more sense and I loved how this vid highlighted those ebbs and flows. But having read Merry's post and reset the brain -- this one could have been seen as gen as well. Works both ways. [1]

The S/H vid to One Step Up is one I'd really love to watch again. I can't remember it very well now, but I kept having the feeling that the vidders had chosen clips really well. [2]

One Step Up - S&H vid. Mostly 4th season. had to watch this one a few times to really get the depth in the vid. Hutch is disillusioned with policework, the line about slipping track uses the death in a different place scene, so i thought it was saying hutch realized that after all his failed relationships with women, he now wants starsky that way. gives a reason for the tension in the last season. another one that told me a story, and made me want the one that comes next (ends very poignantly on pingpong ball from sweet revenge) great use of scenes, many i haven't seen ever used and put them together in a vid that moves with music, good quality eps, has good internal timing and definitely one i will want to rewatch.
