Octagonal Paper was a Battlestar Galactica fanfiction archive. It was open to het, slash, and gen stories.

Archive news and updates were posted to an octagonalpaper LiveJournal account and included on the archive homepage in a frame. The LiveJournal account was also used to join BSG communities for reference.[1]

History

The site began "slowly opening" in March 2005[2] and was hosting fanfiction by multiple authors by early April.

In June 2005, the Octagonal Paper Review and Discussion boards at ezboard were wiped after the site was apparently hacked. Although ezboard reported that the boards would be restored, they were not.[3]

Octagonal Paper went offline in early 2006. Although originally intended to be temporary,[4] archivist musicforcylons posted at her LiveJournal that she would "probably never have time to revive [the archive]."[5]

The website is very minimally archived by the Wayback Machine, and all ezboard links have been excluded.
